Terms of Service

1. Who we are. Northstar (“we”, “us”) is a service operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME][, company number [NUMBER]], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].
2. What Northstar is. Northstar is an automated, AI-generated business analysis tool. You provide a short questionnaire and a website address; we produce a written “scan” report with scores, observations and suggested actions. The report is generated by AI based on the information you give us and the public content of the website you submit.
3. Not professional advice. Northstar is an informational and educational tool only. It is not financial, legal, accounting, investment, tax or other professional advice, and must not be relied on as such. Scores and suggestions are opinions generated by software and may be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for any decisions you make. Always seek a qualified professional before acting on anything material.
4. The £49 scan. A scan is a one-off purchase of £49 (GBP), taken securely via Stripe. Payment unlocks one scan and the resulting report. Prices may change for future purchases.
5. Your responsibilities. You confirm you are entitled to submit the website and business information you enter, and that doing so does not breach anyone’s rights. Don’t use Northstar unlawfully, to attack or overload the service, or to analyse sites you have no legitimate interest in.
6. Availability. We aim to keep Northstar available but provide it “as is” and “as available”. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and may change or withdraw features.
7. Intellectual property. We own the Northstar service, brand and software. Your report is provided for your own business use; you may use and share it for that purpose.
8. Liability. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. fraud, or death/personal injury caused by negligence). Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the scan in question, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or decisions made in reliance on a report.
9. Cancellation & refunds. See our Refund Policy.
10. Changes. We may update these Terms; the version in force is the one published here when you buy.
11. Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
